For your pet’s wellbeing and the health of the other pets at Counties Kennels and Cattery (CKC), all animals are required to have up to date vaccinations. A copy of the vaccination certificate or the pets vaccination booklet must be presented on or before arrival.
Dogs must be fully inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Kennel Cough, and must have had a booster injection or vaccine within the previous twelve months prior to your pet’s arrival. If your pet is overdue for vaccination, this must take place at least 7 days prior to your pets arrival.
Cats must be fully inoculated against Feline infectious enteritis, Feline viral rhinotracheitis (Feline Herpes Virus) and Feline calicivirus, and must have had a booster injection that is current according to the vet records. If your cat is overdue for vaccination it must be done at least 7 days prior to boarding.
Please ensure your pets are treated for fleas and worms prior to boarding. If your pet presents with fleas or worms during their stay, they will be treated by us and you will be asked to cover the cost of this treatment.
Medication
If your pet has a pre-existing medical condition, it is crucial that we know about this in advance. Any medication that is required must be supplied with clear instructions. All medication is to be packaged in the original packaging including instructions on the administering of the product. Please ensure there is sufficient medication to cover the duration of their stay with us. All CKC staff are trained in pet first aid.
Pets Health
When your pet stays with us we take every precaution to ensure their health, safety and wellbeing. Should your pet become unwell we will take immediate action, either by taking them to your own vet or contacting our vet for advice on the course of action to take. You will be, where possible, kept informed and updated. You will be asked to pay the cost of any veterinary fees. Pets that present or are diagnosed with contagious illness will be moved into isolation. We will request that you or your delegate collect your pet at the soonest.

Please ensure we have your up to date contact information and an emergency contact person, particularly if you are travelling overseas.
Socialising Pets
The pet owner acknowledges that their dog may be socialised with other dogs unless otherwise stated and that playing with other dogs can sometimes result in wounds/loss of hair etc. Dogs may become dirty as a result of socialising. We reserve the right to refuse entry to aggressive dogs.
Grooming
Please note we currently do not offer full grooming services at CKC however we can offer to bath your dogs upon request, see our pricing guide. All dogs that stay for a period longer than 7 days will be given a complementary bath on their last day of their holiday.
Personal Items
CKC is not responsible for any loss or damage to any items brought in by pet owners for their pet during it’s time of boarding and is not responsible for any items left behind after the pet has been collected.
Arrival
Upon arrival all dogs must be on a lead and all cats must be in a cage. We will secure the pet and request that you remain possession of your lead/cage.
Drop Off & Collection Times
Monday to Saturday — 8.00-10.00 AM and 3.00-5.00 PM Sunday — 3.00-5.00 PM
Please note we are closed on public holidays therefore no drop offs or pick-ups will be accepted on these days.
If collecting your pets before 10.00 AM on the day of departure you will be charged a half day rate for that day, collection after 10.00 AM is a full chargeable day.
Payment
Payment for your pets stay is required in full before we will release them to you. Payment methods include cash or online bank transfer. If you are paying online please request the invoice prior to collection.
Photographs
When boarding your pets with CKC, your expressed permission has been given to allow images of your pets to be used on social media platforms and for marketing purposes.
Abandoned Pets
We reserve the right to make arrangements for any pet left in our care 14 days after the collection date if no contact has been made by the owner.
